Two more people are now in custody in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and were later released.

Police detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
